We are seeking to employ a suitably qualified, experienced and motivated environmental health officer to contribute to the public health and safety protection demands within West Lothian.
We are looking to fill a vacancy in our Commercial Team to support the secondment of a colleague within the Council. This is a part-time post of 2 days (14.4 hours) per week for 12 months.
You will contribute to a varied and challenging workload. The team deal with the inspection programme for workplace safety, and food safety along with licensing, private water supplies and infectious disease control. The service demands require flexibility to contribute to other environmental health priorities as required. We are therefore looking for someone keen to make a difference, deliver the best possible service and whose focus will be keeping West Lothian as a desirable place to live and work.
