The Environmental Health Officer / Food Safety Officer is responsible, through the Team Leader-Environmental Health, for the delivery of the Food Safety element of the Environmental Health service to the Council and the people of Shetland.
The post holder will be required to carry out the full range of day-to-day functions and duties of an Environmental Health Officer / Food Safety Officer in accordance with legislative requirements and the Council’s policies and priorities as directed. S/he will provide a high quality service to the public, the business community and external organisations and take every opportunity to enhance the image and reputation of Environmental Health and the Council.
