To help us to deliver upon our plans and aspirations, we are seeking to recruit a full time enthusiastic, innovative individual to manage a high performing Food, Health and Safety and Private Water Supply Teams.
With significant experience in the field, you will lead and develop highly motivated teams, tackling the challenges presented and the opportunities resulting from managing service delivery in both a city and rural location. As one of the largest authorities in Scotland we want to ensure our communities and our local environment is safe and attractive places to live, work, visit and invest.
You will be an integral part of a wider Regulatory Services management team being responsible for the shared service delivery of your teams across Perth & Kinross.

The main duties of the post relevant to the work of the food, health and safety and private water supply teams, include:
- The day-to-day supervision and management of the teams and ensuring a consistent, efficient, and effective service.
- The development, monitoring, maintenance and revision of work programmes, procedures, policies, and risk assessments.
- Liaison with other Council Services and external organisations to provide advice, responses, evidence, and guidance on relevant issues.
- Keeping the Regulatory Services Manager informed about controversial and sensitive issues, organisational risk and about the performance of the Team functions.
- Monitor compliance with adopted standards to ensure consistent implementation and to complete statistical returns required by Central Government and other Agencies, including the preparation and participation in third party audits.
You may also be required to undertake other functions and roles at a similar level, depending on service demand.
The substantive office base is Pullar House, Kinnoull Street, Perth, PH1 5GD but the post will operate on a hybrid working arrangement.
The work pattern is 36 hours per week and flexible working is offered.
