This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working for the Council’s Regulatory Services team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic EHO to enhance our team.
We can offer a dynamic and interesting environment and want to encourage applications from qualified Environmental Health Officers looking for a new challenge.
You will initially be based within the Food / Health and Safety team. The role will predominantly be carrying out Food Law inspections. In addition, you will be required to investigate any health and safety accidents and conduct investigations when required.
This position plays a vital role not only in encouraging legislative compliance, but carrying out enforcement action, where necessary.
In addition to undertaking Food and Health and Safety duties you may also be required to undertaken duties within the wider Regulatory Services remit in relation to Environmental Health, on a rotational basis.
The Council is currently progressing with a hybrid working model offering access to office working on some days/when required. Initially this is on a temporary basis with longer term options becoming available in future.
