Duties within the Environmental Health Team relate to addressing nuisance/pollution & private sector housing issues, sewerage problems, pest control, air quality, & planning and licensing consultations. In addition you would also undertake an allocation of food enquiries, a small number of food hygiene inspections and provide cover for any reportable health & safety accident investigations.
You may also be required to undertake other functions and roles at a similar level e.g. depending on service demand, including transfer to other Regulatory Service Teams on a rotational basis.
Ideally you should have 2-3 years relevant post qualification experience working with a Local Authority.
A BSc in Environmental Health or equivalent and REHIS Diploma in Environmental Health or equivalent are essential for this post.
