Food Standards Scotland is looking for full-time Certifying Officers to provide export certification for products of animal origin, primarily fish and fish products.
This key front-line food and drink operational role will initially be based at two groupage hubs in Larkhall and Harthill, but other locations may become part of the network.
The post holder requires knowledge of the food industry and / or a high tech regulatory environment, as well as awareness of health and safety issues, to ensure products meet the requirements of importing countries as detailed in the export health certificates.
An Environmental Health Officer qualification, or Food Safety Officer qualification is essential. Experience in export certification is desirable.
