As part of East Lothian Council’s Health, Safety & Wellbeing team, and contributing to an integrated risk management model, provide a high quality, educational, responsive and flexible service to support the Council in achieving statutory compliance with relevant health and safety law. 

To contribute to significant projects, support a portfolio of subject areas and input to relevant groups as required by the corporate Health, Safety & Wellbeing team.   

Under the direction of senior officers and management, and in accordance with the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Strategy, implementation plan, policies and management arrangements, undertake a range of interventions, including investigations, inspections and audits, working to improve the corporate health, safety and wellbeing performance and culture. 

To provide professional and competent advice on all health, safety and wellbeing issues to all levels in the Council, Elected Members and Trades Union.
