This dynamic operating environment and the impacts of both technological and legislative change require a strong Environmental Health Service performing to the highest standards of competency, service delivery and professionalism. In 2016 a new structure was developed for the Environmental Health Service and it now comprises four teams: one covering Environmental Protection and three covering Food, Health and Safety. We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic EHOs to enhance our teams. These posts will be based in the East Neighbourhood office. There is a further opportunity for an Environmental Health Officer within Planning, in the Place Directorate. The post is in the new Spatial Policy team which develops and coordinates strategy and policy across a range of disciplines including Planning, Transport and Air Quality with a view to achieving better placemaking. The successful candidate will be involved in monitoring air quality, managing air quality management areas and the development of a Low Emission Zone. This post will be based in Waverley Court.
