HSE guidance for REHIS member on inspection workplace noise which will include:
1. How to spot a noise risk (HSE Inspector Training)
2. Enforcement examples (HSE Inspector Training)
3. Noise controls for the local authority enforced sites
11:00 Session 2 – Tanya Grosle, REHIS Chartered EHO and Member of the Institute of
Acoustics
Tanya will give pointers on what to do when the Local Authority receives a
noise at work complaint. Discussion will include:
1. How to check and set up the sound level meter,
2. On-site noise measurements,
3. Review of a company’s in-house noise risk assessment,
4. Calculation of the noise exposure using the HSE noise exposure calculator
spreadsheet.
5. Assessing if a companies hearing protection is sufficient using the HSE hearing
protection calculator.
