150 Time Capsule

At the Institute’s AGM on Friday 21 November 2025, the 150th Celebration Time Capsule chest was officially sealed. Many thanks to all who submitted suggestions for what should be included.

History of the Time Capsule

The Time Capsule was designed and crafted by the Grassmarket Community Project Wood Workshop – Grassmarket Community Project using reclaimed teak wood. The design is in Georgian Style in keeping with the Institute’s office based in the Georgian part of Edinburgh. The interior is lined with the REHIS official tartan.
