Opportunity to participate: Research into food safety inspections

Jason Barnes is a research student with the College of Science and Engineering at Flinders University, Australia. Jason and his team are undertaking some research on food safety inspections and how they are performed. The aim is to develop a better understanding of how inspectors approach food safety inspections and how inspections can be best positioned to prevent foodborne illness. An important part of this research will be hearing the perspectives of Environmental Health professionals and the team aims to do this in three phases, the first of which involves an online survey. Jason invites members to participate in an online survey to share your experience undertaking food safety inspections. The survey will take approximately 30 minutes and is simplest to complete on a desktop computer.

Please note that survey access remains available for a limited time. To secure your opportunity to participate, please be sure to provide your response by Monday 4 July. At the completion of our research, we will distribute a summary of our findings via REHIS.

For the purposes of the survey any inspection that considers compliance with food safety legislation should be referenced, even if that inspection also included other food law matters.
