Rod House, a Fellow of the Institute and a Chartered EHO, has been installed as the REHIS President for the coming year. Colin Wallace, who stood down as President, handed over of the Chain of Office at the Institute’s Annual General Meeting on 19th November in Edinburgh. The first meeting of the new Council takes place on Saturday 5 December. John Beveridge, a past President and a long standing member of the Council, did not seek re-election to the Council and the Institute offers its sincere thanks to John and wishes him all the best for the future. The Institute also offers its thanks to Christine Morrison for her contribution to the work of the Council. Christine qualified as an Environmental Health Officer at the November diet of the Professional Examination and had to retire from her position as a representative of the ‘Other than EHO’ category of the membership.
