The Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS) is pleased to announce the addition, from 1 July 2026, of two further qualifications to its suite of short course qualifications – the Licensing Board Member (LBM) and Licensing Standards Officer (LSO) qualifications.
REHIS has worked in collaboration with Alcohol Focus Scotland over the past two years to support the development and introduction of these qualifications.
REHIS has received approval from Qualifications Scotland Accreditation for both the LBM and LSO courses, which are at SCQF Level 6.
Jackie McCabe, REHIS Chief Executive, said: “We are thrilled to see the addition of these two qualifications to the REHIS portfolio and would like to thank Alcohol Focus Scotland for their support throughout this process, we also wish to express thanks to the Scottish Government Licensing Team for their input, support and engagement.”
The introduction of these qualifications further strengthens REHIS’s commitment to delivering high-quality training and nationally recognised qualifications across Scotland.
REHIS has been an established awarding body for many years, awarding qualifications for Personal Licence Holder training and a wide range of other subjects including Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, Food and Health, Infection Control and First Aid. Courses are delivered through REHIS approved training centres located throughout Scotland.
