Argyll and Bute Council- Regulatory Services Officer (EH and Private Water Supplies) (Dunoon)
This post will provide an excellent opportunity to live and work in an outstanding area of Scotland, to join a welcoming and integrated Regulatory Services team and develop your skills and experience. As a key member of the operational team, the posts will focus on private water supply regulation and general public health work.
Consideration will be given to environmental health graduates who would wish to combine work with the opportunity to undertake the professional environmental health professional training.
To post will support the Environmental Health Manager to deliver a high quality service in environmental protection with an emphasis on the delivery of the functions associated with the regulation and enforcement of private water supplies and public health matters. Specific duties include;
1. To work as part of the Environmental Health Team, with particular reference to the following areas of work: -
a) The investigation of private water supplies, with particular emphasis on risk assessment, sampling, investigating and enforcement.
b) The processing and administration of work associated with private water supplies.
c) Investigation of Environmental Protection and Public health complaints and associated administration.
d) Carry out follow up investigations at own discretion or as directed.
2. Other environmental health technical duties – e.g. investigation of complaints of statutory nuisance
