A vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Environmental Health Officer to join us on a permanent basis, working
as part of the Commercial Team based in Stirling.
The post will involve food safety, health and safety and infectious disease and a sound knowledge of these areas is expected.
The postholder will be exposed to potentially hazardous and unpleasant situations for which there are risk assessments and safety procedures
You will be required to ensure the provision and delivery of a comprehensive Environmental Health Service in accordance with the Council’s
statutory responsibilities and objectives including local and national policies.
Part of the duties of the post will be office based and part outwith the office including visits to:-
Businesses, Dwelling houses, Rough and hilly countryside, Current and disused industrial sites.
Meetings and courses outwith the Stirling Council area
Essential Requirements are
Degree or equivalent in Environmental Health REHIS Diploma in Environmental Health or equivalent.
Attained or working toward REHIS Chartered status.
Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
Can demonstrate sound judgement in decision making and investigative skills.
Diligent and enthusiastic.
Practical experience in all aspects of Environmental Health
