Midlothian Council are seeking to recruit two Environmental Health Officers to work full time, on a permanent basis, in the areas of Food & Safety (Post DCW300) & Public Health (Post M123).
The Midlothian Council Environmental Health Team is committed to delivering a professional service, continuous improvement and support to the local economy. You will be highly motivated and expected to make a positive contribution towards the development of the service and the health, safety and wellbeing of our population and stakeholders.
You will be responsible for a busy and varied workload across a range of Environmental Health functions dealing primarily with residents, businesses and duty holders across Midlothian.
It is essential that you hold a degree in Environmental Health along with the post-graduate REHIS Diploma in Environmental Health or equivalent.
We will consider applications from those working towards attaining their professional Diploma and in such case the starting salary will be reduced.
Membership of REHIS or equivalent is desirable.
