To help us to deliver upon our plans and aspirations, we are recruiting 1 FTE Environmental Health Officer to join our Environmental Health Team.

As one of the largest authorities in Scotland we want to ensure our communities and our local environment is safe and attractive places to live, work, visit and invest.

The substantive office base is Pullar House, Kinnoull Street, Perth, PH1 5GD but the post will operate on a hybrid working arrangement as part of the Environmental Health team responsible for the efficient delivery and administration of all pollution control, public health and general environmental health related functions covering both urban and rural environments within Perth & Kinross.

The main duties of the post include undertaking the investigation of general nuisance and housing issues on a reactive basis, responding to statutory planning consultations, assisting with air quality duties, the investigation of public health complaints, including infectious diseases, and assisting in the development of policies and strategies. You may also be required to undertake other functions and roles at a similar level, depending on service demand.

The work pattern is 36 hours per week and flexible working is offered.
