This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Environmental Health Officer (EHO) to fulfil the role of Environmental Health Development Lead Officer within our Environmental Health Team.
The successful candidate will assist the Team Leader in the effective delivery of the Service by co-ordinating the broad range of strategic and operational statutory activities of the Team to protect public health and to meet standards and performance targets.
Within the role you shall provide lead officer supervision, mentoring and direction to the Team on all Environmental Health matters, whilst also supporting the Team Leader with work planning and allocation, work performance, responses to elected members, freedom of information requests and the development of policy and procedures.
This post is based within East Dunbartonshire which is a small suburban authority between the scenic Campsie Fells and the City of Glasgow. The role allows for mobile working, giving the successful applicant the opportunity to combine working from home, in the field and in the office. This is a great opportunity to work in a well-connected location with a small friendly team of professionals undertaking a varied and diverse workload.
Applicants should be a qualified EHO and ideally REHIS Chartered Environmental Health Officer or working towards Chartered status or equivalent.
