As a result of internal promotion within the team, there is an excellent opportunity for an Environmental Health Officer or Regulatory Services Officer/Food Safety Officer to join our team, working in a very challenging yet beautiful part of Scotland. Working from the Helensburgh office, you will undertake the wide range of environmental health enforcement, including public health and food safety. There will be a requirement to manage your own district workload, whilst ensuring and protecting public health. We will provide you with varied workload in all areas of environmental health.
Consideration will be given to applications from newly qualified Environmental Health Officers. Recognising the national shortage of Environmental Health Officers, the post may be filled as a Regulatory Services Officer (Salary £35786-£39819) . We would be interested to receive applications from graduates who are authorised food safety enforcement officers holding the Higher Certificate in Food Hygiene/Food Control, or are working as an environmental health enforcement officer in local authorities. Depending on the successful candidate, there may be an opportunity to undertake training and development to support a career pathway from Regulatory Services Officer to Environmental Health Officer.
