Aberdeenshire Council are currently recruiting for a graduate trainee in Environmental Health to participate in the delivery of an Environmental Health Service ensuring that statutory requirements are complied with, taking enforcement where necessary, and assist in implementing council policies.
The applicant should be flexible in working practices and be able to undertake some unsocial hours as required.
As well as having the ability to work on your own initiative you also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
The successful applicant will be required to complete their 48 weeks training and successfully pass the professional interview in October 2019. Upon completion of this qualification, the applicant will be promoted to Environmental Health Officer.
The post involves working in the Area Team carrying out a wide range of Environmental Health functions. You will be encouraged to develop interest in specific aspects of Environmental Health and contribute to the development of the Section.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
