An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the generalist Environmental Health Service of Aberdeenshire Council.  Home to the largest white fish landing port in Europe, the highest amount of private water supplies in Scotland and a variety of settlements hosting a range of commercial premises and manufacturers, each day presents an exciting challenge.

They currently have 3 vacancies, with offices across Aberdeenshire, the base location is flexible and job share arrangements may be available. Ideal candidates should be flexible in their approach to work as out of hours may be required.  

The Service is currently in the process of developing and implementing mobile working practices to improve ways of working. Suitable candidates will be expected to have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT programmes.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory
