The Environmental Health team is based in the Historic Grade A Listed Marischal College which has been recently renovated to provide a comfortable modern office environment in the heart of the Silver City.
In order to ensure we continue to provide the excellent service that we pride ourselves on, we are seeking to appoint additional like-minded officers to complement our highly professional, enthusiastic, conscientious and dedicated Commercial team. Applicants for the EHO post will need to hold the BSc. (hons) in Environmental Health and the REHIS Diploma in Environmental Health or equivalent. Applicants for the Authorised Officer post will require to hold the Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection and the Higher Certificate in Food Standards

The Commercial Team is a multi-disciplinary team responsible for regulating 2000+ Food Businesses, including 30+ Approved Establishments. We are also responsible for Occupational Health and Safety at 4,000 establishments across the city. We have Port Health responsibilities at both the air and seaports. A large number of Ship Sanitation visits and Export Certificates are issued annually. The team is also responsible for Animal Health and Welfare as well as Licensing Standards.
