Symposium 2011:Your Food. Your Health. Your Industry: Working together for change
Never before has the multi-faceted issue of HEALTH played such a critical role in the future of the UK food industry, making the 2011 joint SFDF/REHIS/IFST Symposium a ‘must attend’ event for anyone involved in the industry.
Taking place on 24 May at Dundee’s Apex City Quay Hotel, this timely event considers a number of topical issues including current Government plans for health policy in Scotland and the UK, reformulation and innovations in healthy food development and the factors currently driving consumer behaviour.Speakers from industry, NGOs, Scottish Government, industry advisory agencies and food research and academic bodies will all feature on the agenda and there will be plenty opportunity for lively discussion and debate.
This is the 9th joint symposium run by three of Scotland’s most respected organisations – the Scottish Food and Drink Federation (SFDF), the Institute of Food Science & Technology (IFST) and the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS). The event attracts representatives from all parts of the food and drink industry, government and its agencies and the enforcement community. The events are well received by industry delegates, with comments from last year’s delegates ranging from “Very enjoyable and informative day” to “Well worth the trip from Wales”
