Health and work is in the news more than ever before. This is an important time to influence the future of worker health in Scotland.

Safe,  quality work is good for mental and physical health, and has a wider impact on individuals and their families. Supporting everyone to do their best at work can sometimes mean offering extra support or specialist advice, especially for those with health conditions, to manage the risk of job loss and protect the health of workers into the future.

The Scottish Occupational Health Action Group (SOHAG) draws together key experienced professionals and leaders from across the health and work field in Scotland. This group engages at the national level to help drive forward policies designed to protect and improve the health of Scottish workers. This includes a recent response the DWPs Public Consultation on Occupational Health – Working Better – and we appreciate that now is a critical time to engage a wider Scottish audience to discuss current and future issues, and contribute to the way forward for workplace health in Scotland.

SOHAG is hosting a webinar on 25th January 2pm-4pm  where we hope to unpack many of the issues affecting workplace health in Scotland, share ideas and inform future actions on how Scotland can react to and improve the diminishing health of its workforce. At this meeting, we want to hear from you about the challenges in your field, what are the barriers to better health at work, and how we can deliver fair and healthy work for everyone in Scotland.

The event will comprise of a number of influential speakers from a range of diverse backgrounds, a panel discussion and a question-and-answer session.
