Technology in swimming pools has been around for over twenty-five years but has developed more quickly in recent years. We are lucky to have some impressive detection systems available in the UK and Ireland.
There are many different types of technology systems designed for use in swimming pools, from personal systems that swimmers wear to systems that operate with monitors that alert lifeguards if someone is showing some unusual behaviour that they should investigate.
Industry guidance from CIMSPA, RLSS UK, Swim England, and ukactive supports swimming pool operators who have or are considering installing an automated monitoring and detection system.
The industry guidance was published in January 2023 and has undergone a review, considering technological advances and the experience of those using technology.
Presented by members of the Guidance Working Group, the webinar will provide an overview of the guidance for operators and insight into its advances.
The webinar will consist of a 30-minute presentation followed by 15 minutes to answer questions – you can submit your questions during the webinar using the Q&A function.
