Causes, Cures, and the Courts
The REHIS Southern Centre committee is excited to be running the Condensation, Damp, and Mould Course – Causes, Cures, and the Courts. This full-day event will be delivered by Anderson Consultancy providers of specialist and fully tailored ‘bespoke’ training.
This lively, enjoyable, and extremely rewarding session will be facilitated by Wayne Anderson – expert lecturer, national conference speaker, Chartered Surveyor and Arbitrator:-
• Provides delegates with an understanding of the causes, symptoms, and cures associated with ‘damp’, condensation, and mould.
• Explores requisite impacting legislation, the ‘perfect storm’ surrounding damp, and the implications of failure.
• Rising Damp – Truth or Myth?
• Identifies the diverse range of detection tools available such as moisture, carbide and capacitance meters, borescopes, hygrometer sticks and humidity boxes etc.
• Considers strategies for the effective removal/reduction of ‘damp’ and mould problems.
• Informs officers on how to communicate sound knowledge-based principles to affected parties.
• Identifies how to protect parties’ interests and implement effective procedural guidance to combat failure.
This event will be held on MS Teams*, with two available sessions:
- Wednesday 22 January 2025 (9.30am-4pm)
- Wednesday 5 February 2025 (9.30am-4pm)
Each session can accommodate a maximum of 20 participants.
*Please note cameras should be kept on throughout the session.

Participation in the event carries a maximum CPD value of 5 hours for the REHIS Scheme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The amount of CPD claimed should be reflective of new knowledge gained at the event.
