REHIS Annual Presentation of Awards

The annual presentation of awards will take place on the afternoon of day 1 of the Forum and attendance is encouraged to observe recipients being awarded their qualification. This includes those awards where examination is carried out directly by REHIS and a number of community training awards, where the training and examinations are conducted by numerous local training Centres, contributing to education and training in a range of environmental health related subjects.

REHIS Annual Environmental Health Forum 2020

SAVE THE DATE - 29/30 APRIL 2020

The Carnegie Conference Centre, Halbeath Road, Dunfermline will be the venue for next year’s REHIS Annual Environmental Health Forum.

Further details will be made available in the coming weeks and the programme will be published in late January/early February next year.

REHIS Council Meeting

Council (elected and ex-officio) members, as trustees of the Charity of REHIS, discuss and decide on the work of the Institute. All Council members sit on at least 1 Committee. All Committee decisions are ratified through Council prior to taking full effect. The maximum number of Council Members is 27, but, as it is possible for a Council Member to serve in both an elected and ex-officio capacity, the actual number of Council Members at any given time may be fewer than 27.

Scottish Pollution Control Co-ordinating Committee (SPCCC)

Responsible to the Environmental Health Promotion Committee, with a REHIS member as Chairperson, SPCCC has its own remit and terms of reference. The group brings together representatives from across the Pollution Control community, outwith and within the local authority setting, including local liaison groups, to ensure matters across the whole of Scotland are considered. REHIS Environmental Health Promotion Committee Meeting

Remit includes:
i. Matters regarding environmental health of a technical nature, with the exception of education, training and professional practice
ii. Responses to consultation and other similar exercises from Government Departments, etc, with the exception of those regarding education, training and professional practice
iii. Matters regarding the establishment and organisation of Technical Working Groups with the exception of the appointment of Council representatives to these Groups
