Time savings and reduced demands on resources are among the key benefits reported by local authorities that have formed Primary Authority partnerships with businesses. What you may not know is that this new approach to compliance not only extends to all health and safety and trading standards issues in Scotland, but also has a direct bearing on your day-to-day operations. This is because you will have branches of Primary Authority businesses in your area, given that 80 businesses are now in partnerships, including Argos, Asda, B&Q, Boots, Iceland, Marks and Spencer and TK Maxx.
Want to know more? You can hear about Primary Authority first hand from participating local authorities and businesses at a free seminar being held from 9.00 to 12.00 on the 17th of June at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. Practical advice will also be given on the basics and how to set up new partnerships.
This event is supported by TSI and REHIS, sponsored by us, and being staged in tandem with the TSI Conference. It is particularly relevant to enforcement staff in environmental health or trading standards – who will receive a CPD certificate – all are welcome to attend. If you have businesses you are already working with they may also find the event useful.
Book your place now via this link: www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/events/training_courses.cfm
Those who do so will also enjoy full access to the TSI Conference.
