Investigative Interview Training
17, 18 & 19 November 2026
Venue: STEP Stirling, FK7 7RP
This three-day Investigative Interview Training Course is being delivered on behalf of the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS) by Barnsley & Barnsley, who have successfully delivered investigative interviewing and enforcement training to Local Authorities and Government Agencies across the UK for many years.
Following the success of previous REHIS courses, this programme has been designed specifically for Authorised Officers, combining practical skills development with the latest legal and procedural guidance. Previous delegates particularly valued the realistic interview exercises, expert tuition and direct relevance to their enforcement roles.
Jim Robertson, former Senior Procurator Fiscal will join the course on Days 2 and 3 to support practical exercises and provide valuable insight into evidential and legal requirements within the Scottish criminal justice system.
The course will include consideration of the Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 2016 and the Draft Code of Practice on the Questioning and Recording of Questions of Persons Suspected of Committing Offences.
