The UK Public Health Register is an independent, dedicated regulator for public health professionals in the United Kingdom, providing professional regulation to public health specialists and public health practitioners from a variety of backgrounds, all of whom have a common core of knowledge, and skills. Environmental Health Officers (EHOs) are key members of the public health workforce across the Scotland and the UK, and the knowledge, skills and experience required to apply for registration is similar to that of an EHO.
The UKPHR will be hosting a full day national event on 3 November (9am to 4pm) at the National Piping Centre, 30-34 McPhater Street, Glasgow, G4 0HW on professional registration for Public Health Practitioners. This will be of particular interest for EHOs who are interested in applying for registration, public health workforce development, or finding out a little more about the register and how EHOs are an integral part of the multidisciplinary public health workforce.
The event is free to attend and further information including booking can be found via the following link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ukphr-national-practitioners-conference-tickets-12316227167
